Some of the people who have made this country so awesome sometimes go unnoticed. To celebrate them and the incredible ways they have made this country better, each program will feature a storybook about an overlooked American trailblazer and a fun craft activity!

This month, we will be celebrating Black Americans. We will be reading "They Call Me Teach: Lessons in Freedom" by Lesa Cline-Ransome and James E. Ransome. For the craft activity, participants will create “Power of Words” signs inspired by the book.
