Washington Nationals and PGCMLS Team Up for Summer @ Your Library “Tails & Tales” Fun in 2021

Largo, Md. – The Washington Nationals and Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) are proud to partner for a second year on “Summer @ Your Library,” Prince George’s County’s summer reading and library engagement program. The 2021 theme is “Tails and Tales” and it will be offered in English and Spanish for all ages. This year’s program runs from May 17 through August 20 and will be primarily offered online with select in-person events, like a kickoff drive-thru event on Saturday, June 26 from 1-4 pm.

More than a traditional summer reading program, Summer @ Your Library encourages children, teens, and adults to read 30 minutes each day, attend a library event or Nationals game (online or in person), use the online library or branches, explore the wide range of streaming movies and music in the 85+ online library resources, and participate in interactive social media challenges with the hashtag #SummeratPGCMLS. S@YL participants can track their activity progress throughout the summer and earn badges and prizes with a downloadable S@YL game board or the Library’s Beanstack website and app (iOS/Android).
