The Digital Learning Program for Afghan Communities is a 6-session initiative designed to help participants develop essential digital skills for daily life including online safety, managing finances, library and employment resources among other topics.

During this engaging and hands-on activity, participants will learn about the Chesapeake Bay and an iconic animal that lives there, the blue crab. We encourage participants to get curious about this critter as they hear a story, sing a song, and move like crabs. Participants will even be able to touch sample crab shells, see what watermen use to catch crabs for food and meet a live crab!

Use our Makerspace to design, sew, 3D print, podcast, and create music, teens will have the opportunity to focus on real-world skills, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math).

Have tech questions? Bring them to the library! Student volunteers will help you with using technology for daily life, learning English online, job hunting, and exploring online resources. Registration is encouraged, with appointments available based on availability—first come, first served.

Boost your child’s confidence by reading to friendly, trained therapy dogs! Bring a favorite book or choose one from the library's selection of books. Each child gets 10–15 minutes of one-on-one reading time with a furry friend.

Celebrate Summer Prince George's this month by diving into the colorful world of art with stories about the library and reading. Afterwards create artwork of your own of paper plate dinosaurs! (While supplies last) Registration required.
