This year the Maryland STEM Festival runs from October 31 to November 12, 2017. The festival celebrates its third year with 450 events at 230 venues in 23 counties and Baltimore City.The Library is participating by offering exciting STEM events: Submarine Science, Slime Time, Teen Hack-a-thon, Explore VR (Virtual Reality), Construction for Kids, Building a Galaxy with Code, Creepy Science and more! Moreover, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in which hundreds of thousands of participants will begin writing a 50,000-word novel by the November 30 deadline. Join one of the Library’s writers groups: Teen Writers Group (Laurel Branch), Writers Group (Laurel Branch), Writers Group (Accokeek Branch), With Pen in Hand (Bowie Branch) and celebrate National Novel Writing Month 2017 with us.

PGCMLS is excited about being a participating library again this year in the 2017 Maryland STEM Festival to be held from Tuesday, October 31 to Sunday, November 12. Learn about submarines, slime, magnets, virtual reality, coding and more at our Maryland STEM Festival events held at various PGCMLS branch libraries.


The Prince George's County Memorial Library System is named in honor of our country’s veterans. This Veterans Day, the Library salutes you!
