HYATTSVILLE- The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System will host the grand re-opening and 40th anniversary of the City of Greenbelt’s branch library on Saturday, December 1, 2010 at 1 p.m. Built in 1970, the building has undergone extensive renovation at a cost of $640,000. New features include an ADA-compliant central customer service desk, energy efficient lighting, remodeled study spaces on the main and ground floors, an enhances children’s area with zoo theme and new furnishings, Teen Zone, Express Check-Out machine and 32 public access computers. The majority of funding was provided by the County Library Capital Grant Program, Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Library Development and Services.
