Friday, April 26 at 2 pm the Heritage Film Festival continues with a special presentation: Media, Activism & Education: The Legacy of the L. A. Rebellion Independent Film Movement. This special presentation highlights films by Ben R. Caldwell and S. Torriano Berry. Also screening in this program is Sis Annan, a new work by Sherelle Williams, a professor at Prince George's Community College. After the screenings, Williams joins moderator Venetia Lambert in a discussion on the legacy of the L. A. Rebellion, with movement members S. Torriano Berry and O. Funmilayo Makarah.
The Heritage Film Festival showcases creative media by independent filmmakers. This year's program features three days of film screening by novice and experienced filmmakers and will take place on Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27.
