Prince George’s County Library Introduces Online Streaming Service
HYATTSVILLE, Md.—Prince George’s County Memorial Library System partnered with Hoopla Digital to provide free access to thousands of movies, TV shows, music albums and audiobooks to library-card holders. Hoopla offers titles from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers for streaming or temporary download to smartphones, tablets and computers.
“As online streaming services like Netflix grow in popularity, Prince George’s County Memorial Library System is staying on the cutting edge by providing a similar service free to library-card holders,” said Kathleen Teaze, director of the library system.
Prince George’s County library-card holders can access Hoopla through Web browser, Android and IOS. To learn more or register, visit www.pgcmls.info/hoopla.
Prince George’s County Memorial Library System provides materials and information for study and personal enrichment, offering strategies for lifelong learning through access to varied media and professional guidance. The library system consists of branches in 19 communities including Accokeek, Baden, Beltsville, Bladensburg, Bowie, Fairmount Heights, Glenarden, Greenbelt, Hillcrest Heights, Hyattsville, Largo-Kettering, Laurel, Mount Rainier, New Carrollton, Oxon Hill, South Bowie, Spauldings, Surratts-Clinton and Upper Marlboro.
