Hyattsville Independent Film Series - Monday, June 17, 2013 - 6:45 pm - "Blood Lines: Music That Connects" -   "Pasos Latinos - a "Mambo-Mentary" (80 minutes) - a Documentary film by local filmmaker Miriam Machado-Luces.  This film explores the marriage of rhythm and movement, beats and steps, Clave and Latin dance.  The story of Latin Dance starts in Africa, seeds in the Caribbean, but then blooms in the Americas.  "Pasos Latinos - a Mambo-Mentary" tells that story.  The audience will also be treated to a demonstration of Latin dances and an opportunity to learn the moves!
