HYATTSVILLE―Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) is pleased to launch the Brainfuse eLearning Suite™. The Brainfuse eLearning Suite™ offers HelpNow™ (expert academic tutoring), StudyNow™ (self-study and collaborative learning platform), and JobNow™ (real-time resume and interview coaching/career advice). The Brainfuse eLearning Suite™ will be made available to all library customers from the public computers at their local libraries or from any computer with internet connection beginning September 2010.

HelpNow™, StudyNow™ and JobNow™ will be offered at all 18 branches. Any library cardholder can access the services and connect for a one-to-one live session with a carefully-screened tutor or job coach. Live sessions can be conducted in English or Spanish.

The mission of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System is to promote and make available library resources that will fill the lifelong learning needs of individuals and groups in Prince George's County. The 18 branches of the Library System provided over 48,407 public service hours with more than 2.5 million visitations last fiscal year. HelpNow™ provides library customers with live, on-demand homework help and state-aligned skills building lessons from expert tutors as well as a 24-hour writing lab and access to a robust test center. With HelpNow™, tutors and students communicate in real time in our online classroom by typing, drawing, and marking-up lessons and web content. Moreover, students may use our secure file sharing feature in the writing lab to submit writing assignments to our writing instructors any time of the day. You can create your own or browse through our extensive library of pre-made flashcards – each of which can then be turned into a fun hangman game, crossword puzzle, or word scramble, among many other options. The Meet™ feature allows you to set-up live tutoring sessions in the Brainfuse online classroom with friends, colleagues, teachers, etc. You can use the advanced communication tools to study together, collaborate on projects, and even record your sessions for future playback.
