Hyattsville Library Wins $4,000 Grant
Hyattsville, MD ― Prince George’s County Memorial Library System’s Hyattsville Branch is the proud recipient of a $4,000 grant from TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation. The grant will enable the library to purchase new books, expand technology resources and provide library programs that enhance the educational experiences of our youth.
The grant was presented yesterday to the Hyattsville Library Branch Manager Yvonne Harris. After the presentation, the Regional Vice President of TD Bank William N. Chalfant, Jr. participated in the storytime for children, ages 2-3. He read aloud the book titled Spot Goes to the Circus by Eric Hill to a captivated audience of 12 youngsters and seven adults.
TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation recognizes the invaluable contribution the Hyattsville Library makes to our community. The grant helps further the Prince George’s County Memorial Library’s mission to make available library resources that fill the lifelong learning needs of the county’s communities.
