Summer Reading Bookmark Design Contest

Bookmark Design Contest Winners will be Announced Starting the Week of April 29, 2013.

The First Annual Summer Reading Bookmark Design Contest for Grades Pre-K through Adults has come to a close.

Zombies -- Whether Fast or Slow...they still want to eat your brains!!!!

Are you prepared? Do you know how to survive if zombies start to attack? The Center for Disease Control has created a page detailing what to do if there is a Zombie Apocalypse. In the meantime, while you wait for the zombies to attack, perhaps you would like to read about zombie behavior, death and destruction in books available at your local library. For instance, have you read:

Have you read The Hunger Games???

Have you thought about living in Panem? What would it be like? What would you eat?
Could you survive the Hunger Games if you were selected to go?

Celebrating Teen Read Week!

If you're looking for a book recommended for teens by teens, look no further than the Teen Summer Reading Book Reviews booklet.

All summer long, we asked the teens coming into the library to write a review of their favorite books that they read during the summer. We received many book reviews and in honor of Teen Read Week, we have compiled our second Annual Teen Summer Reading Book Reviews booklet.

Reviews include Celia Thomson's The Fallen, Sarah Dessen's Dreamland and R.L. Stine's Fear Street.

Beat the Heat @ Your Library

The summer is heating up and so are your local libraries.
There are events for teens nearly every week until the start of school.
Call your local library for more information.
