As the 10th anniversary of this epoch moment approaches, Americans find themselves reflecting back on the historic day and its aftermath. Some of our readers were probably too young or perhaps vaguely remember the events that occurred on that tragic day. It will forever be remembered by those that survived, their loved ones, and the high school students at Stuyvesant High School, located only a few blocks away from the World Trade Center. It will remain a day in history none of us will ever forget.

It's that time of year again ... Back to School!

Yep! (I can sense the many groans and sob sounds from readers.)

But seriously, it's time to hit the books again!

And just in time for all those back-to-school essays, assignments, and tests, the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System has a new homework help tool available for you called Brainfuse.  It's really cool!

I hate to be bitter grapes, but summer is slowly reaching an end. School just started and Maryland tax free week is over, we thought this would be a safe way to present you with a *super* short list of books for heading back to school. Here are some suggestions of books for those of you starting out somewhere new this school year.

Summer TV Withdrawal

I like TV a lot. Seriously like a ridiculously embarrassing amount. Two of my favorite shows, So You Think You Can Dance has ended and MTV’s Teen Wolf is coming to the end of its season. And I'm definitely not ready to let go of Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef  just yet, either. After their summer runs I will be left with major t. v. withdrawal.  At least I still have my cooking shows.
