Our foreign language collection includes materials
for all ages.
The Library System has materials in many languages,
especially Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
- Materials include: books; newspapers; magazines;recorded books; videos and DVDs. The largest collections of foreign language materials
are in the Hyattsville, Bowie, New
Carrollton, and Oxon
Hill Branches. Videos and DVDs are in the Audio-Visual Department at the Hyattsville Branch.

Intepreted Reference Services
At Prince George's County Memorial Library System we use a special
Service called Interpretalk to communicate with our non-English
speaking customers. This service provides interpreters who can
translate a variety of languages. If a Librarian is unable to
understand a specific language he/she will telephone an interpretor
who will translate the entire transaction.
Please bring your questions to the information desk, no matter
what language you speak. We will do our best to answer your questions.
