Enjoy an engaging science demonstration and visit multiple stations to participate in interactive activities that explore different areas of science. Check out books about science topics that interest you and get a head start on your school science project! First 30 participants will receive a free science display board!
Picturing America: See What You Hear

Listen to unique American music styles: jazz, country, patriotic marches, gospel, and traditional Native American music while getting lost in relevant artwork. Flex your creative skills in an art workshop inspired by famous African American artist, Romare Bearden.

Discover the different ways water is part of American life and culture from transportation to leisure. Express your own thoughts about water in an art workshop inspired by stained glass artists, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Picturing America: Young Artists Reception

Come see the artwork of young Fairmount Heights customers who participated in Picturing America programs. Works on display were inspired by artists, Romare Bearden, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Frank Lloyd Wright.
The National Children’s Museum (NCM) expects to open its new location at National Harbor in 2013. The Launch Zone, opened by the Museum in 2009, is located on Waterfront Street at the National Harbor.
