PGCMLS offers a variety of magazine and newspaper databases which
provide electronic access to over 8,000 different magazine and
newspaper titles. You can browse through the complete A to Z list,
break the list down by subject, or search the available content
of individual titles by clicking on a specific title within the
alphabetical list. You can also select one of the databases listed
to search across various titles simultaneously.

to Z - See an alphabetical listing of all the magazines
and newspapers available through the librarys electronic
resources. Quickly locate and link to journals of interest.
- Americas
Newspapers and Newspapers of the World (Newsbank)
Full-text articles from over 500 US city newspapers, including
the Washington Post (1977- ), the Washington Times (1990- )
and the New York Times (2000- ). Plus, full-text articles from
(over 900 newspapers from ) around the world, including the
London Times. Also included is America's Obituaries and Death
Notices. These databases do not include classifieds, legal notices,
graphics, and articles not copyright to the newspaper. (Remote
access available for all but a few of these newspapers.)

Obituaries and Death Notices
A collection of newspaper obituaries and death notices. An ideal
resource for genealogical research. Easily searchable by name
of the deceased, date range, or text, such as residence, occupation,
hobbies, family members or other personal information, contained

SUN Archives **
Indexing and complete text of articles, stories, letters and
editorials, copyright of the Baltimore Sun from 1990 to present.
- Childrens
Magazine Database - (Searchasaurus)
Use this search tool to find information in over 50 magazines,
an encyclopedia of animals, a general encyclopedia, a middle
search plus, and a primary search, also a dictionary, and a
picture file, all written especially for kids. (Remote access
available.)
- ERIC
(EBSCOhost)
The Educational Resource Information Center contains more than
2,200 digests along with references for additional information
and citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related
journals. (Remote access available.)

and Wellness Resource Center
Magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories and
information on fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases,
public health, occupational health and safety, alcohol and drug
abuse, prescription drugs, etc. Included are links to diet,
cancer, and health assessment sites as well as government databases.

Search for information on many health topics including the medical
sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine
and general health. Features searchable full text for over 190
journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Mens Health,
as well as abstracts and indexing for over 205 general health,
nutrition and professional health care publications. The material
contained in this Resource Center is intended for informational

This database provides nearly 600 scholarly full text journals
focusing on many medical disciplines. It also features abstracts
and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated

Kids in grades K-5 can search by keyword or topic to find appropriate
articles, primary source documents, photos, flags, etc.

Provides abstracts and /or full text articles from nearly 2,000
periodicals Choose from MasterFile Premier, a multidisciplinary

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, Middle Search Plus,

for middle school students.

editorials copyright of the New York Times for the current rolling
90 days only. Indexing and abstracts from 1986. This database
does not include classifieds, legal notices, graphics, and articles
not copyright to the newspaper.
Searchasaurus - (Children's Magazine Database)
Use this search tool to find nformation in over 50 magazines,
an encyclopedia of animals, a general encyclopedia, (a middle
search plus, - this part should be deleted and a direct link
for Middle Search Plus created as a separate entity)and a primary
search, also a dictionary, and a picture file, all written especially
