It’s National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries nationwide and the perfect time to discover how you can join the circle of knowledge@your library.

BOWIE BRANCH
Devour a Book! Edible Books Bake-Off
Saturday, April 5 Display 12:30-2:30 pm
Create a cake representing a book of your choice. Winners will be chosen in Children, Teen and Adult categories. Contact the branch for entry forms and more information. All ages.

LARGO-KETTERING BRANCH
Draw Your Own Graphic Novel
Graphic novels are illustrated and similar to comic books, but with a novel’s plot. Prizes will be awarded and works will be displayed in the library.  Deadline for entries is Wednesday, April 9. Call branch for details. Ages 5-18.

LAUREL BRANCH
The Mike & Bobby Show
Sunday, April 13 3 pm
A blast from the past! Come listen to favorites by Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and other more popular folk-rock and country tunes from the 1970s and 80s. Incredible vocal harmonies complement by acoustic guitar, harmonica and percussion. Mike Walls and Bobby Walters make up the Mike and Bobby Show and bring decades of experience to their performances. Join us for a fun way to begin National Library Week. All ages. Sponsored by the Friends of the Laurel Library.
