Patrick and Me: A Family Saga of the Underground Railroad

Historian Anthony Cohen, founder of the Menare Foundation and a fourth generation descendant of a runaway slave, recounts the gripping tale of his ancestor Patrick Sneed who fled from bondage in 1849. Drawing from his forbearer=s 1856 account, Cohen carefully reconstructs the amazing story of this slave who was captured under the Fugitive Slave Act and later went on to fight in the Civil War. Ages 13-up.
