MARCH 2017
Message from the CEO

Congratulations to the winner of the PGCMLS Valentine's Day Rose Raffle. The winner was Teddie Lowrey, a busy woman who we caught at the Glenarden Branch where she volunteers tutoring. Lowrey also volunteers delivering books to senior citizens who cannot visit the library oTeddie Lowrey and Robin Jacobsen holding rosesn their own. Her usual branch is Fairmount Heights, where she was headed to share the roses with staff! This random drawing went to a terrific person who deserves a dozen roses every week. She loves her library, and we appreciate her! Photo, L-R: Teddie Lowrey (Fairmount Heights Branch customer) receiving rose bouquet from Robin Jacobsen (Director of Community Engagement).

On a similar note, these PGCMLS staffers as a part of the Maryland Library Association's (MLA) Legislative Day visited the state capital in Annapolis on Valentine's Day to honor legislators that love and support our libraries and encourage others to do so. More
